Would it be possible to explain further what the price of the insert is? In your post you say $63, did you mean $630? I looked up fuel pump on eeuroparts.com and it says a new fuel pump is $500. So I understand they need to mark it up to be in business, of course. But is the "insert" different than buying a whole new fuel pump? Chack out eeuroparts to see what I mean... Thank you so much for responding! If $600 for a whole new fuel pump plus labour is $600, then how many hours does it take to install it? Since the mechanic is "only" charging me for the CPS prt at $90 and NO labour associated with THAT item, then a total of $600 is good??? I guess I don't understand what the difference is with a whole new fuel pump and just the "insert" part. Does that mean I'll need a new fuel pump later, as if the fuel pump itself will fail? Or is it that what fails on fuel pumps is only the "insert" portion? Thank you all again for your knowledge!!!
