bought CPO at 40K, now with 95K. Wife's daily driver. Been very good. Have all service records and it hasn't needed much. Just did a brake booster and am awaiting an a/c condenser which is on backorder.
Did rear shocks (CPO warranty) at 55K, also rear suspension bushings (CPO). Not much else that I can recall. Oil every 5K (Mobil 1). Great on long trips with 30-33 mpg at 70-75 fully loaded.
Been a good car so far. It's more refined than my 9K, but I prefer the 9K. Still, a good used 9-5 (assuming full service records and regular oil changes) should be a fine car.
Buying used, I'd go for an '04 or later to avoid some of the sludge potential. Personally, I think Aeros are a bit over-rated, although the extra power is great. They ride harder than I like, but I live in NH where we have some kinda marginal roads! Plus, with an Aero is the potential for it being ridden a lot harder.
