Front control arm bushings...

Thanks so much.. I appreciate the frank discussion. I don't know if the
original trailing are was suppose to have fluid. I can say there were four
rubber spokes inside and the rest was hollow.
The reason I used the powerflex was because:
a.) They were cheaper than any oem bushings.
b.) They did not need to be pressed in, they are DIY.
c.) They are suppose to be long lasting. I don't want to have to do it again.
I can see for the front of the car control arm the rear bushing, if I buy the OEM, is bolt on (comes with a new housing). They are also + 100 dollars a piece.
If I buy the Powerflex I have to cut out the aluminum sleeve. I dread having to do that again..plus the housing is made out of aluminum also. But
I don't want to have to replace them again (which I suspect with the OEMs).
Did you have any problem getting the single large nut off of the rear of the front control arm? The estimate I have has a big if statement on
it; "as long as end nut does not snap/break" ? That makes the front work a bit scarier for us home users.
