Hey Dean! Sounds like you've done the closet to what I want! Yeah, I knew that generating tones from voice command during a call would be a challenge (after all, how could the system recognize when you were just speaking numbers vs. needing tones). Programming the Cellport or one-touch dial like you recommend shouldn't be too much of a hassle...
I've got a ton of questions for you...Did you do the install yourself? Do you have any plans or specs? Where did you mount your phone/cradle? Which mount did you use? Am I correct that the Cellport device itself recognizes voice and generates the tones (meaning it is NOT done by the Nokia phone or by OnStar). Did you ahve to use the Cellport external speaker or can you integrate it to the car audio? Separate microphone or use the Saab mic?
I'll stop there so as not to wear out my welcome...Thanks for your help!
