After some extensive testing on my '00 SE I found that polymer sealant products provide a better gloss than carnaubas for the most part. And polymers outlast carnaubas by design.

The only carnauba wax I found to compete with the best polymer products is Pinnacle Souveran at $70/jar.

Paint prep is absolutely critical here. If your car shows swirl marks, light oxidation, or other surface defects then a regimen of polishing to remove them is required to get the best results.

I found that while Zaino provides a very glossy finish it's polishing/cleaning capabilites are lousy. Even multiple apps of Z5 barely make a dent in minor swirls.

Klasse All In One does a much better job in removing and filling swirls and prepping the paint for sealing (Klasse Sealant Glaze).

Blackfire's polish is better than Z5 in removing and filling swirls. Blackfire's protectant is very easy to use and requires no cure time like Zaino to obtain best results. In a cost per application scenario, Blackfire is probably the least expensive polymer sealant system out there. Great shine, nice durability, affordable, very easy to use.

Zaino is a fantastic system but does not suffer fools. You must follow their directions to the letter. No variation or experimentation. Also Zaino products are designed as a system so it's best to buy everything you'll need from them. If you have shampoos and detail sprays from other vendors, you might as well toss them out. Minimum products are Z2, Z5, Z6, Z7, and ZFX or Z1. You're looking at about $70 for the whole system.

Klasse is terrific but can be tricky to apply/remove. It takes a more experienced hand and needs more arm work to get best results. But like Blackfire, you only need their two products (All In One and Super Glaze) and you'll be set. Use whatever shampoos and detail sprays you've got.

I love One Grand products but Blitz just didn't work for me and I tried and tried to get the results I wanted. For most paint on most cars, Blitz is wonderful; just not on a 9-5. Sorry. YMMV.

Hope all this helps.
