Local Saab dealership in Seattle wants $250 for the entire key and $58 to program. That's $308 for the entire setup. In addition they are saying that the keys are backordered till the end of December. I too have only one key. I have found the following website, if you lose all keys: http://www.lostsaabkeys.com/ Price for reprogramming TWICE module and supplying two remote keys when all is lost, is about $800. You have to remove the TWICE module, but it beats paying over $3000 at the stealership. Are the dealerships able to cut keys that are purchased elsewhere? I found this website for buying blank keys, and was wondering if they would work if programmed by the dealer: http://www.autotransponder.com/2008_Saab_95_keys_and_Keyless_entry_remotes The dealership also told me that the keys from the 1999 Saabs, which are not on backorder, will work. Is that true? According to the PDF from Larry, the key portion changed in 2003 and is not compatible with older models. Does the dealership know what they are talking about? They told me the 1999 key is $100. I am trying to find out my options here, as I do not want to spend over $300 and not have a key until next year.
