Why would I dump it? I absolutely disagree with you.
I BELIEVE IN REBUILDING AN ENGINE. I have done many over the years. If done they way it should be it will be better than the factory.
What is wrong with rebuilding an engine? I have a 1973 Porsche that has 334,000 miles on it and the current engine has gone 130,000 of that.
This particular Aero has an extremely well sorted suspension with Konis all around and the ride height adjusted where it should be and a very fresh and precise alignment, as well as new Michelin tires.
Also has been maintained very well with fresh brakes, braided steel brake lines, and many custom items including Motorola Bluetooth.
I plan to keep it a long time. I have owned since new and it is a great car. I would be happy to know the engine is fresh to go along with the high level of maintenance and set up on this car.
Why would I dump it and start over and spend all that money to get back to where I am?
The engine rebuild may be the cheaper alternative.
