By the way I replaced the whole heater pad. I am happy I bought a new one since I could find no obvious visible defects in the old one, but the new pad is giving us hear again. The heating pad/element is about $100.00 I hope we have some more cold weather here in So Cal so my wife can check this repair out.....it is her 95 Aero and she has been bugging me to fix it in the cold weather we have had........it has been around 30 several night here lately!!!!
I know this won't settle well if you are sitting in a blizzard in Chicago!!
