Yeah, I had the same question. One would immediately presume so-- at least there is an eventual out if necessary --but a lease appears just as binding as a purchase for the duration of the lease. Also, reading through some of the comments from dissatisfied customers on this board, it appears that there is little, if any, difference in recourse (during the lease term). I myself feel suddenly unhappy with my five day old Linear due to the heavy vibration from the car when sitting in traffic. For a daily Chicago commuter, this is enough of an issue to seriously reconsider my new car while there may be some time left--at 100 miles right now. Anyway, the dealer's service manager will ride with me in the car tomorrow, though on the phone, he was "very surprised". But, reading this board, there are plenty similar problems.

Big and deep sigh of disappointment for my first new (what I term) expensive car.
