Look at the end of the tower that covers the spar kplug. The rubber ring has a concave surface that contacts the porcelain partof spark plug. This rubber is where the dielectric grease is applied. Very little is required.I find a q tip makes a good applicator. It is the final seal to prevent arcing.Damp conditions increase the chances of arcing.The voltage to the spark plug is much higher than the old cap , rotor and ignition lead method..
