Rear door panel remove for window problem - advice

Saab 9-5 105K miles. The rear window quit working at about 100K.
Pry off the hard black plastic trip on the upper door frame around the inside of the window, using a thin screw driver. Remove the torx bolt inside the door open handle and also the 2 holding the door handle on. Unhook the door release cable by twisting the lever - the cable will stay put. Work around the lower door panel with the screw driver, carefully prying the clips out. Lift the panel up and away. Disconnect the door switch wires by pulling up the red clip. Using a sharp knife carefully cut the soft glue as you pull the foam weatherproofing off of the panel. Remove the 3 10 mm bolts holding the speaker on.
The window lift motor is pop riveted in in a blind spot. Good luck if removing it is necessary. I disconnected the motor wires, tested the switches and got 12 volts using both the rear switch and central switch so I knew the switches were good. But when I connected everything again to do some more testing the window worked !! Just a dirty connection somewhere, either the door switch or motor.
When I looked at the cable that lifts the window it was taut as a guitar string and I thought maybe it was jammed, but as it turns out that tension must be normal. Again I'd hate to have to replace the motor or mechanism - might be better buying a used door.
