Have you tried recalibrating the ACC system as described in the manual? This may help with some of the variability.
- It's normal for some air to come through the vents when the system is turned off. If you want to stop all air coming into the car, press the recirc button.
- By default, previous setting are "remembered" when you start the car if it has been turned off for less than 10 min. If the car has been off for more than 10 min, it starts up with your programmed defaults. If you want the ACC to ALWAYS startup with the previous settings even after 10 min, this can be programmed by the dealer using Tech2.
- You can program your desired default settings by putting the system in your desired state, and then pressing "off" and rear defrost buttons simultaneously. The display will flash once to confirm your settings. This is also described in the manual under "Programming 1" I think.
Hope this helps.
