Hi! I am very surpised to hear about the problems you describe. I just want to bring here another perspective. In all my Saabs (' 92 9000 SPG, '99 9-5 Wagon 2.3, brand new '02 Aero) I have always LOVED the ACC. I never changed any programming. I just choose the temperature I want, and... voilà. I live in Montréal: cold winters, hot summers. So the system always has to "work" to provide me with the comfort level I want.
Just a few observations:
- If suddenly the "sun detector" feels the sun is stronger, it might generate "colder" air or "faster flow"
- There is ALWAYS a little bit of air entering the car. Close the vents if needed.
- If the temperature outside is close to what you want in the car, chances are that our PERCEPTION is that we want the air to be a little bit colder (in order to perceive the difference) than outsides. In those cases, we sometime have ask for 2-3 degrees less for the system to kick in.
Suggestion: ask your dealer to "reset" all settings. The choose a level and leave it like this for a few days. And take a deep breath...
I hope I make sense... Keep us posted, and goold luck.
