I think it depends on hours on the engine. My wife's '05 Aero had the tensioner changed by the dealer at about 38k due to my complaining about a squeaky pulley. I just replaced the tensioner temporarily with one that has 60k on it because the belt was wandering on the delaer replaced one. It's still wandering but a lot less. I'll be rpelacing both the belt and tensioner as soonas I get the parts. My theory-the tech may have screwed up the belt when replacing the tensioner or the belt belt was worn. This car has primarilt city mileage meaning the hours to miles ration is quite high. The tensioner I used is outof my '02 and has 60k on it, much better behavior than the one wiht less than 10k. Anecdotal data perhaps.
