I just removed my recirculation motor yesterday from our 2003 Aero. I bought the Craftsman 6mm nut driver as recommended and it worked great! Removing the electrical plug from the metal bracket was easy after I figured it out. Use needle nose pliers and pinch the prongs on the top of the connector to tilt it through the metal bracket. Then do the same for the bottom of the connector to push it through the bracket and free.
BTW, the reason my recirculation failed is the white gear cog in the motor broke off where it enters the arm. The arm itself was intact. I purchased the rebuild kit that comes with two of the plastic cog wheels and a reinforced arm. I also am replacing the resistor since it looks fried. I ran the unit while connected to the power source and the motor operates when the recirc button is pushed.
