1) The 7mm allen wrench for the caliper slide bolts is often not included in hex key sets. Make sure you have one. A socket style works great for the front, but the rear, IIRC, benefits from a bent arm style due to clearance issues.
2) the set screw on the 9-5 is a hex head, not torx, which IME is less likely to be hogged out instead of unscrewing. I had no problems with mine after half the mileage you reported. That said, the time to deal with the set screw is when you first get the car by putting anti-seize on the threads and leaving it 'not too tight'.
3) the springs last forever or until they get chewed up by repeated R&R. If yours have been on and off just once, I'm sure they're fine.
4) With a 2 foot breaker bar, I had no problem with the caliper bolt. The rotor, otoh, was a bear. I finally got it off using long bolts and nuts through the caliper mounting holes to push off the rotor. It was still hard - turn the bolt a half turn, loosen, rotate the front rotor a third of a turn, repeat...
That's another place that calls out for some anti-seize as soon as you get the car - a lot more trouble than the set screw, though.
