use 13mm socket - 6 sided, not 12. 12 sided could strip the plug. most likely plug is on very tight, you'll need some muscle or a pipe extension to get it off.
First - search "oil change" - a million posts on this. here are my details:
1) get filter - OEM Saab, or AC Delco PF53 (i think) AC Delco is same as Saab OEM. Also, get drain plug washer - it;s a copper washer. Saab dealer will charge you .75 cents for the washer.
2) get oil, lots of discussion and debate on this. I just got castrol syntec semi synthetic 10w-30 at walmart.
3) have ramps - if you'll be a DIY'er get ramps, jack stand, and floor jack. rhino ramps are great - the're high grade plastic and cost $25 at walmart.
4) drive car up ramp....stop or you'll drop off...;>
5) remove plug, drain oil.
6) remove filter, make sure you take off rubber gasket.
7) put on new plus washer, and replace plug - torque to 20 ft. lbs (I THINK!)
8) replace filter - put oil on new filter gasket.
9) fill with 4.2 quarts of oil.
10) check for leaks.
13) drive off!
