Have had a leak for a while and no AC. Finally asked mechanic and he said there is dye around the evaporator and/or the bypass valve (or whatever is attached to the evaporator). He doesn't want to tackle this job. At least not for a while. Says its a big job, but did reference a manual saying it should take about 4 hours to replace. I tried to do some reasearch on how to take it out, but not much luck. Anyone know of a procedure for remove and replace the evaporator? I think, if I'm not mistaken, it can be done without removing the dash.
I do a lot of work myself with the help of this board and on-line write-ups and videos. Hoping I can do the same here.
