and more, just not "all at once." Goldberger's Rule of Used Saabs - budget $1000 a year for repairs once out of warranty. Mine hasn't disappointed me yet.
But seriously, and perhaps helpfully, I believe in pro-active replacement of known troublesome parts that can leave you stranded, even more so now that we are down to one vehicle. At 113,000 miles I will probably replace the fuel and water pumps this winter. I have previously replaced the heater cut-off valve and, erroneously the CPS. Belts per the book, pulleys with the belt, rear shocks b/c I overloaded the springs (I am more careful now, no more trips with pavers or ceramic tile), etc. It's a good car, has never stranded me for long (only once the time it took to find the pipe from the turbo to the TB had blown loose, which was a lot longer than it should have). But I will probably sell it at around 150K (two years), when it will be due for a lot of major work and when I will have pretty well amortized most of the work to date. 'Course with Saabs, amortizing repairs can be a never ending process ;-)
