I too have had good luck with warm water and patience... however, i have also used a citrus-based cleaner as well. My current favorite is "Tarminator" from Stoner Products. They make a range of products that are really super... you see them mail order (terribly expensive), but my local speed shop carries a full range of the products for approximately 35% of mail order price...
