that the sensor was part of the pump assembly.
I thought that the pump is accessible through removeable cover under the rear seat.
I also thought (although with significantly less confidence) that the sensor was part of the pump assembly.
My 2007 still experiences inaccuracies once the fuel gets down to 1/4 tank or so. It may be fine, then starts dropping (on the DTE and the fuel gauge) precipitously. Scared the heck out of me a couple years ago shortly after I first bought it and was on a busy Interstate, out of state which I wasn't familiar with, under construction, no shoulder, and no gas stations apparent. When I got back in town took to local SAAB dealer, convinced them that I knew what I experienced (also played with some on way home on that trip), and he reluctantly, supposedly, replaced the sending unit.
I thought he said that was part of the pump.
That didn't fix it.
I reluctantly accepted, didn't bother the dealer again.
My '02, which I had since '02, was pretty accurate, the full range.
Never saw this problem with other 9-5's.
My '07, can't be trusted below 1/4 tank.
