Thanks for the post Mario. Just curious if you know what years your friends vans are. I understand that '99-04 were notorious for bad trannies. Supposedly '05 and on were improved, but with a shudder still plaguing some vans. This seems to have been fixed with a software update or, in some cases, replacement of the torque converter. The reason I would go with an '08 or '09 is with the CPO, you get 12 months/12000 miles warranty on most components and 7 years/100k miles on power train. Of course the dealers jack the price up but I have been shopping around and if any of them accept my low ball price, then it would be an ok deal. I am going to take the advice about the Toyota or Lexus trucks and give them a look. I also considered the 4Runner but it is too small and the Sequoia, but the mileage is too poor. Thanks again.
