I used koni shocks (sports not fsd) with the genuine saab spacers. They do work well together. In terms of the clip height, I would measure the distance from the center of the lower mounting bolt to the top of the perch of the sachs (can do this on the car) and then do the same for the konis when you get them. I did that. For my car (04 Arc), the lower clip setting put the spring perch at the same level as stock. There may be differences in different model years, and Aero vs non. You may still want to use the upper perch, but it is wise to get a baseline by measuring. I bought a couple of 10mm and 15mm because I wasn't sure what I would need. I don't think it is as simple as measure the amount you're low and add that height in because it affects how much the spring is compressed. You will need an alignment after the work is done, and I recommend driving around a bit between doing the work and aligning - stuff can settle out it seems and the ride height can change.
Also, put loctite on the upper nuts on the konis. I had one come loose on the road (I've never had a pair of nuts unlock until this instance!)...
I have been very happy with the konis. That said, I do like a stiffer ride so ymmv.
