Right motor mount V6 Posted by Larry West [Email] ![]() ![]() ![]() |
I'm thinking it's time for the right motor mount and the small torque rod on my SE. I just had the left motor/trans mount done, and the car feels much tighter already.
Looking at WIS, it seems straightforward enough. Support motor, remove big nut, and 3 or 4 smaller bolts, remove bracket, replace mount, and reinstall all the bits.
WIS seems to make a big deal about marking the position of the big nut on the bracket before removing it, and making sure it likes up right when assembling. Seems to me that if the motor doesn't move, and the new mount is built to the proper spec, everything should just go back together in only one way.
Am I missing something?
Also, does the small rubber part under the nut need to be replaced?
Is Hutchinson a good brand for mounts?
Thanks
