1. The Arc will not show the turbo lag from a standing start that the Linear will. Once to speed though, there is not as much difference in the power.
2. The Linear seems to vibrate more at idle. It is a 4 cyl. after all.
3. Although I feel that the Arc is smoother and quieter overall, the tone of the V-6 engine when accelerating sounds more like a Pontiac Grand Am which some people don't care for.
4. You can only get ventilated seats in the Arc. If you live in a hot climate, they're great! Xenon headlights are optional for the Arc but not available on the Linear.
5. The Linear will get a couple of MPG better fuel economy than the Arc.
6. The Linear usually has the best incentives so the actual price difference may be better than the difference in MSRP. Note that if you are not leasing, the depreciation will be worse for a Linear which could offset some of the savings.
Because of reasons 1 and 2, I went with the V-6.
