I think you already know the answer. However I let go of my 1999 9-5 when it was still running quite well - however I have my 9-4 ARC nicely optioned that I will be keeping for a good long while.
I can't say that I miss my 1999 all that much - had it for 12 yrs and it was getting a bit long in the tooth but I usually run cars into the ground or to the point where economically it just doesn't make sense to put $$$ into them. The 1999 was simply an awesome car in that I spent very little on repairs and things were slowly starting to wear out but in the last 3 yrs of ownership nothing really broke.
