I have a 2003 9-5 Wagon. Repair shop said it needed a right bank oxygen sensor to get rid of the check engine light so it would pass inspection. It drove fine with no smoke from the exhaust when I took it into the shop. Now it is a non-drivable smoke machine. Shop says the Turbo needs to be rebuilt because the seal is bad...how did that happen overnight?
I Need to know if you can remove a turbo from the top. Getting it home wasn't pretty. It's in my garage and I don't have the $ to pay a shop to fix it. Don't trust the one I took it to for the Oxygen Sensor. I want to rebuild it myself. What else could be wrong? Also read that the 2003 is a sludge puppy but the 2004 is not. What's different and can that change be made to my 2003? Can the sludge be cleaned up?
Thanks for anyone's help!
