You can use the same ECU, but you will have reprogram it with the 4 cylinder code with the appropriate year. My guess is that you would have change the car's VIN number in the TWICE to that of a 4 cylinder car to get the TECH 2 to do the reprogramming. If you have the Trionic tuning software, you could also reprogram the ECU.
