But the closest you can get is to use the Tech 2 scanner and monitor what's called air mass meter correction value.
It is a percentage value that should be around 0% when everything is normal and in a static state meaning either at idle or at a steady acceleration.
That value will fluctuate wildly right after pressing down accelerator or releasing it so the key is to find a long uphill road where you can have the accelerator pressed down at a certain level without going out of the driver license record too fast.
If the percentage slowly drops as you accelerate and getting down in the -10% to -15% or lower (+- 24% is the limits) it is a good chance the air mass meter is getting old and tired but it is NOT a 100% failsafe way to say since other things can disturb that very same value like worn out spark plugs, very dirty oil and low oil, air leaks before and after air mass meter, before and after turbo and before and after throttle body.
