I think it has a lot to do with how heavily and how frequently you load down the car. One can check the ride height etc. Search the bb as Adam says. Tons of threads!
FWIW, our SAAB indy says he mostly just realigns them to a different spec that does not eat tires. They ride low, but are otherwise fine, and it is a cheap solution. I didn't mind gold plating our car a little with Konis. I really like how they improved the ride. Our rears were shot at 80k. We load it heavily pretty often.
