Aero wagon ride height 610mm Posted by saabsince 93b [Email] (#972) [Profile/Gallery] (more from saabsince 93b) on Wed, 12 Mar 2014 09:06:13 In Reply to: Re: Aero wagon suspension-when to replace?, Snowmobile [Profile/Gallery] , Wed, 12 Mar 2014 07:02:25 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
You wagon should have 610mm of ride height measured from the inner fender lip to the lower part of the aluminum wheel where the tire begins.
If the ride height is lower then you could get toe in and too much camber. You could have it adjusted to proper spec with the ride height low, but if you are getting bottoming with load then you want to get the ride height right first and then get a 4 wheel alignment.
Aero springs sag. Spacers are the right solution in my mind. We have 4 Aeros in our family 2 sedans and 2 wagons. 3 have Konis and bilsteins and spacers. One is stock. The 2001 needed shocks and spacers at 130,000. Both wagons needed spacers and alignment.
I doubt there are any wagons that have the right ride height after 90,000 miles [or way less]. JJ has lifts. Genuine Saab has Koni spacers. A guy on that auction site has nice kits and is a reliable supplier.
