I ended up setting up the rear slightly lower than spec (maybe a 1/4") so the car would not look "slammed".
I agree, new oem springs are probably a waste of money as they will sag. I did install new oem wagon springs on the rear of a sedan, and they are better but they still did sag.
Also, if you get konis with 2 nuts on the top to lock together, I highly recommend that you use loctite.
If you can get the desired ride height with aftermarket springs (ideally progressive?), you will probably be better off than oem.
