Good that you got it going.
Batteries are NOT all the same, as I learned recently. I'd been using Duralast red-top batteries from Autozone, but they tended to get weak pretty quickly.
About a year ago, switched over to the Duralast Gold (yellow-top) from Autozone, and there is a marked improvement. Cranking was much faster and continues to this day in my daily driver 9-5 SE.
I've had one in my LPT wagon also, and, unfortunately, that one (the car...) has been laid up with multiple issues. But, even though it drained the Duralast Gold down to almost nothing - twice - and was recharged, and then was left disconnected for months on end, even after 4 months of non-use (and no connection to the car electrics), it'll start the car right up.
The moral of the story is the cheapest battery may not be the most economical.
