When undoing the bottom alternator bolt make sure to clean its hex socket head first. Mine had a lot of crud - so the hex bit only engaged half way and stripped the head (and then stripped the second half after cleaning). That bolt is made from butter and may need a lot of torque to undo.
As for removing from the top - there will be interference with AC lines that will require some pushing and pulling but the alternator will come out eventually.
