David,
It seems to me that you'r just pissed that Saab dosen't care about you... For me at least, it would be suffice that they "cared" to produce a car that protected me.
I mean, what kind of reply were you expecting from them? "Oh my, did you say there was 'fuel' leaking???" I don't think anyone can make comments and point any fingers regarding the leaking fuel or the malfunctioning onstar without conducting a thourough investigation. Will they do it on your car? Probably not. But your car has become part of the statistics that drive the developement of Saabs. Post some pics of your car.
Don't buy another Saab. The Japs have nice sterile cars. Heck, the Maxima has 250 Hp! More than the Aero... (albeit different horses...). But try getting smacked in one of those.
A couple of years ago, when I was studying in Montreal, I was in an accident almost identicle to yours. I was making a left turn onto a busy two-way street, and a minivan smacked into my front left corner at about 50 - 60 MPH. I was driving a 2 ton Cadillac Deville. As a result of the impact, my car was smacked about 30 feet over the side walk and onto a lawn. Even though I as not wearing a seatbelt (I had just pulled out from a parking space), the airbags prevented me from flying out of the windshield. The minivan's engine was detached from the van and they had minor injuries. I had two other passengers in the car who all walked away. But I hear Cadillac's now have OnStar as well... I guess that would not work for you.
BTW, I have a 9-5.
