Steve - with the caveat that my car has a different design PCV system then yours (V6), I must say that aside from the plugged nipple (13 years of oil fumes can do that I guess), I didn't note much "crud" in the hoses. A trace of oil in one hose, certainly not a pool, but none of the hoses in the design my car have significant low points that would be conducive to collecting oil like that.
Don't fret about the oil sensor, they are a known failure point as well, so no real harm in replacing it.
Hope this at least slows your drips down!
