but also, vacuum leaks can cause similar problems. I had a cracked brake booster vacuum line at a fitting, which I crazy glued and now everything is fine. I'm going to order a replacement - doesn't look like you can just get the part that failed, so I'll order the whole assy. Only $42... so much cheaper than a new TB (which would not have solved the problem)...
to clean the TB, I just sprayed tb cleaner on a lint free swab and wiped the grime out of it. Just from the top - I did not remove the TB. That said, there was very little to clean, so I was not surprised when the codes came back a few days later. You sprayed yours with the engine running?
Definitely worth replacing vacuum lines if they are not relatively fresh.
