From what I have observed on my car:
White - engine manifold operating at a vacuum.
Yellow - engine manifold at turbo boost.
Red - you should be passing everyone on the road! My LPT will not go into the red zone.
If you notice when you first turn on the car before starting it, the gauge should swing to exactly between the white and yellow zones since there is no vacuum and no boost.
