I just pulled the plugs from my '05 linear wagon 2.3t (in which I have only done 15,000 miles and it is now at 69,000) and found that Platinum NGK PFR6H-10's (Platinums) had been installed previously - against the recommendation of the manual which recommends the BCPR6ES-11.
Manual shows the Platinums as being for the "2.3T and 2.3 TURBO".
Again, mine is a "2.3t".
STUPID QUESTION: Am I going to upset anything by fitting the basic coppers or should I throw the Platinums back in for DIC contiuity etc?
There has been of late some hesitation in accelerating when higher in the rev range, say going up a long hill at higher speed. Its like a chugging unsteadiness in the revs.
Maybe the plug TYPE was THE problem, but they came out looking very very good I must say.
Any theories?
Thanks.
