All that you say is correct and I do understand the basic differences. That comment, with a question mark, was me trying to make sense of the fact that I ordered a 16174, it's labeled "wideband a/f sensor", the connector fits my 2000 9-5, and, in the short time I've had it installed, I'm getting 26-33 mpg depending. In other words, no problems. I was referring to something I read about the voltage ranges, .1 to .9 vs. the widebands going up to 4v. Anyway, mine is still reading in the narrow range, same as before. Do I have an incorrect sensor? If so, why is it working? Are there two different Bosch 16174?
