Yea, I have a love hate ( mostly hate) relationship with Rainx. First used it on my 1980 900...Thought it was cool at first then as it wore I became really annoyed by the haze that followed each stroke of the wipers...
I tried reapplying and it would be OK for a while, then haze back again. I then tried like hell to remove the stuff from windshield and had very little luck...I've used it very sporadically but only on side and rear windows (when I had the time, which ws not very often..
I had some extra time so I thought I'd deal with the haze on the 9-5. I did clean all the windows very thoroughly and applied Rainx on the sides and rear, and on the perimeter of the front windshield where the wipers don't reach.
I've noticed that the rainx areas don't seem to have the 'blotches' I see on the areas covered by the wipers, but I do see the wiper haze on the areas where I applied Rainx into the wiper area.
So now I am wondering if I should apply Rainx on the entire windshield and if the wiper haze from the Rainx is better than the existing glare....I really don't want to replace the windshield if I don't have to....
