I've read that Saab is discontinuing their relationship with Michelin, so maybe you won't have to deal with the MXV4s at all. Their dry pavement performance alone warrants replacement.
Tan leather is holding up fine, thanks. Tan carpet and mats look perenially dirty, however, especially in the driver's footwell area. I like the "warm" sense I get from the tan interior after having a gray-interior 9000t, which seemed quite cold by comparison. The leather in that 9k held up very well, and it was by the same maker (Bridge of Weir).
Are you getting an Aero sedan or wagon? If a sedan, why not see how the shocks do before replacing? The Aero has an upgraded suspension, including shocks, springs and bushings.
I had my previous two Saabs nine and thirteen years. Both were still in excellent condition when I sold them. I do not, however, live in salt country. Here, sun is a car's biggest enemy.
