Well, 2 days became a week w/ work needs, then I didn't get back here til now. IT's DONE! Maaan what a PITA, but engine temp nl at 'round 190+ by Tech-2 vs 'round 165* previously. Still had no heat but got that done (maybe worth another thread with what I found).
To re-cap: engine not to temp and no heat, figured it was a thermostat failure despite changing it w/ timing belt a year ago. Got down to thermostat and couldn't get out it 2nd to previous mech using a too-long bolt to change my Timing Belt & Pulley. After a lot of hand wringing being careful not to slip the timing belt, I was able to back the bolt out far enough to R&R the thermo, re-tighten the roller and reset the timing belt tension with no slips with GREAT thanx to Mike, from Connecticut, at M&M Motors How To YouTube video on 95 timing belt change https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WMXaw4xgogQ&t=2032s&list=PLHKq2EOU__kLM6UYDrxawicY7y2lDIgxU&index=2
Thanx too from this list. I'll plan on replacing that bolt with next TB change. I filmed the R&R with my phone and if I can figure how to edit it together I'll post on youtube to pass it on and maybe help someone in the future.
Happy Motoring!
