3,400 Mile Road Trip - Kudos for Linear

We just completed a 2-week vacation in which we logged over 3,400 miles in our '02 Linear Wagon (5spd auto, Premium pkg) driving from our home in Northern IL to Durango, CO and various points in between.
I can't express how delighted we were with the comfort and performance of the car during the trip, especially in the mountains. We went over many of the major mountain passes in CO (Monarch, Red Mountain, Vail - among others). The fully-loaded car accelerated briskly up the long uphill grades with aplomb, passing just about everyone on the way up without strain (and without me thrashing on it). It handled the twists and turns on narrow mountain roads quite well and gave me a good sense of handling and control throughout. I know you Aero owners drive the 'top of the line' but the Linear never left me wanting for more power. We drove home nonstop (1,040 miles) on the return trip and the wonderful seats kept us comfortable the whole way. Truly a car you could 'drive all day' without fatigue or back strain.
We averaged about 28 MPG on the interstate (at 75+ mph) with the car top carrier installed. Our best mileage was 35 MPG between Silverthorne and Ouray (without the cartop carrier).
To anyone considering a new Linear - just go for it! Take advantage of all the great incentives - it's truly a fun, comfortable car to drive and a great value.
