Thanks all! It was affirming to read everyone's takes. I think the takeaway for me here is that it's a small number of people who can drive (and like driving) a car with a manual shift. I bought my 911 on BAT sight unseen and was disappointed that the clutch in that car was slipping (undisclosed, of course, but I can't complain as I knew the risk and got one of my bucket list cars at a decent price, assuming I probably would want the infamous intermediate shaft bearing replaced anyway). I need to sell one of my 9-5s unfortunately, and I don't want to pass on any problems that I ought to know about. I feel like I know a variety of clutches and just wanted a community gut check to make sure I wasn't so adapted to my 9-5 to not appreciate an issue. Been driving the Aero a bit more the last week, and it's engaging fine. Will be a bummer to see it go if that's the one that sells.
