Hi Ro. Thanks for responding. I missed that you had posted. By the diagram it doesn't look like there's any kind of controller or relay between the rheostat and the seat. 252 must be the temperature selector switch. 254 is the thermostat switch in the seat heater "assembly". 64 must be the seat heater "assembly". It's a little odd. If I start the car and drive it without turning the seat heater on, it stays cold. If I turn it on and turn it off after a while, it seems to stay on. I can't tell if it's residual heat or if it's staying on electrically. The next time I drive it I'll try turning it on and turning it off before I feel the heat to see if it stays on and gets warm. There's no holding circuit so it should do whatever the switch tells it to do. Thanks for posting the diagram. I dug out my WIS CD but hadn't sat down at the computer yet to look it up. I'd almost forgotten where I put it. I was just reading my 9s magazine yesterday and noticed they host it online for free.
