I missed a Jewel of a SAAB 9-5 Arc Wagon

I found a 2003 SAAB 9-5 Wagon ARC 3.0 V6. 123,000 miles. I got lots of pictures from the Dealer and the Car seemed near Museum quality. They wanted $4000 for the SAAB. I had to have it shipped to Portland Oregon area from Westminster California. The seller quoted $850 for shipping. In the meantime, I put out a shipping bid and got many hits for $300 shipping or less! One shipper said they would stuff it in their enclosed Trailer for $375. I called the Dealer and went to wire him the money since he said "We have a deal". He then rejected the money and said he won't sell me the SAAB. He finally admitted he was doubling the shipping fee to make more $$$ on the transaction. I then offered to send him a wire for $5000 delivered and he said "You are smarter than most buyer's and I'm scared", therefore I will not sell you the Car". Not sure what he meant? I called him back several times to finalize the deal and he blocked my numbers. He told me the Car "may" go the backup buyer in Pennsylvania? The moral of the story I guess is don't ask questions, don't try and save money, just buy it and take a chance that it's a good Car. He did tell me the AC didn't work and the crankcase of the engine was getting pressurized. The Carfax showed 6 valve cover gasket replacements in around 20k miles. He said the Engine was covered in oil so he had it pressure washed. Anyway, I hope someone from SAABNET ended up with the Car. I didn't know where to post this so maybe the Administrator can delete it in a week or two?
