I couldn’t find the exact z moulding you reference on Amazon, but I think what I saw is all the same product from different suppliers. I got it on ebay and it looks exactly the same. As I recall, I had to trim it in a couple of places where the adhesive strip passes over some humps, for lack of a better word. It did lay fairly flat against the windshield then, but I think you could also use a little sealant to hold it against the windshield. After all, you don’t have to take the cowl off very often. Whatever it is made from also seems to hold up well to the weather, better than the original. I’ll be interested to hear how this turns out in the end.
