I am the teacher still to keep my number under 26K. Today I saw a grey 2002 9-5 that went into service on 2/26/02 and has about 4117 miles. The dealership repurchased it from Saab and 'says' the original owner was waiting for a 'hooter' and there was a back order on the part and turned the car back to Saab and got a new one. The car is selling for 26K. The dealership says they will take care of the warranty when it runs out to give me the full 48 months( I have low mileage.)
What is the deal with turning a car back to Saab?
What is a hooter ( if that was the problem) and how serious is it?
Should I be suspect and think that the problems were greater than that?
Would you run from this, or does it sound like a decent deal?
The car has auto and premium- grey exterior, charcoal interior.
Thanks to all who are responding to my posts.
