Hope someone out there can give me advice on the lease numbers I just received from dealer today, since it appears many of you have become recent owners. We have to work this by phone as dealership is about 60 miles away.
Car is an '02 Cosmic Blue 95 Aero sedan with auto trans and touring package. MSRP is $41,845 including destination and add for mica paint. I'm also having them add lifetime warranty window tint (a must here in NM) and rear deck spoiler(painted and installed). This brings total to $42,645. They are letting me have the car for $40,900 without me doing any bargaining. I imagine it's tougher to bargain on an '02 Aero than a Linear, as they are becoming extinct. This particular car is the only AT in the state of NM. Have not tried to bargain down further yet--this will happen when we visit the dealership in person this Saturday.
Lease numbers are $598 a month, 36 months, 12K miles; or $552 a month, 48 months, 12k miles. These prices are based on zero out of my pocket at delivery--first month payment is included. They may also drop the payments about $15 if the deposit can be waived (this is decided after they run my credit).
Comments are appreciated. I see monthly payments on the Linear are much cheaper, but bear in mind there's less cash incentive on Aero, car is about $5K more, and not one penny out of my pocket at delivery. Thanks!
